Family Mediation

Introduction

Divorce and separation can be a traumatic and difficult time for couples and their children. Things can sometimes feel out of control and conflicts can quickly intensify and turn toxic, damaging parents and children alike.

Collis Mediation Ltd understands that a family breakdown affects a number of people. There is not only you and your spouse or partner but there may well be children and other dependants that you need to take into consideration. There will also be the issue of property and other financial matters, such as pension rights, which you will need to deal with sooner rather than later.

We have a wealth of experience in dealing with family breakdowns and divorce. As highly qualified mediators we are not there to offer legal advice but to help you and your spouse or partner come to a mutual agreement that is acceptable for both parties.

To reach agreement conflicting parties often need a third party to manage the process in an informal environment, who will allow you to speak and be heard, to allow you to raise your concerns and guide you towards a mutually agreeable position.

Any agreement is legally binding and can be used in legal proceedings at a later date should one of the parties fail to follow the terms you agree on.
